Four Phases Of Transformation

A Closer Look

Our comprehensive, 12-month program is split into four timed phases. Each phase has a unique, focused role in the entire recovery process and helps advance a man in his journey at a realistic pace.

In the Bible, Jesus Christ said “I have come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly.”

We want everyone to experience the abundant life God desires for all of us.

Foundation - First 30 Days

Those accepted into the program will be housed in a safe environment that is free from drugs, alcohol, and other distractions. The routine will be narrowly structured to provide an opportunity to focus solely on recovery and gently begin the Biblically-based healing process. These initial 30 days include 1-1 counseling, group counseling and education classes, personal time needed for reflection, and other life-enriching activities. Loving care and support from our trained coordinators and licensed, Christian counselors will play a significant role in the Foundation Phase.

Discovery - Months 2-5

Residents will continue both individual and group counseling, with an emphasis on building relationships with God, self, and others. The restoration process with friends and family begins slowly and gently through weekly phone calls, writing letters, and monthly in-person visits at Family Day. Also, residents will begin a gradual transition towards full-time work, starting with working every other week. This allows them to work on their recovery while teaching responsibility, commitment, and restoring dignity and self-respect in the workforce.

Application - Months 6-9

During this phase, residents been to work every week (up to 40 hours per week). The men receive individual payment for any amount earned in excess of the cost of room, board, and transportation. They can save or spend this payment as they choose, guided by the financial stewardship principles learned during Finance Class, which they participate in during this phase. The Application Phase provides more freedom for the residents and more closely resembles life outside of Restore Addiction Recovery. Men will be strongly encouraged to engage in the local church and community. Learning to serve others is key. Men will rotate serving as House Leaders and continue to learn how to handle more responsibility. Additionally, this phase introduces volunteer Recovery Coaches who will support the men in a mentorship-like role in their continued development and preparation for graduation from the program.

Launch - Months 10-12

The men in the program will be encouraged to impart their experience, strength, and hope to the men in the earlier phases of the program. We will help them build a Life Development Plan that emphasizes gainful employment and career development, healthy living and relationships, leadership, community involvement, and other important life skills. Our goal is to help each man become recovery ready - focusing not just on sobriety but also on real life transformation. This includes helping them find a secure job and career plan, a safe place to live, training in basic life and relational skills, and a strong, supportive network for continued accountability and care after their time at Restore Addiction Recovery. The program concludes when the coordinators, counselors, and residents all mutually agree the Life Development Plan is complete. By this time, the men will have all the necessary tools and learning needed in order to achieve long-term sobriety and real change that lasts.

Although the men provide about 65% of the funds needed for their stay through our Community Partner Program, we depend on generous individuals, churches, and businesses to provide the rest.  Your support will go towards the men in the program and help provide basic living needs, curriculum materials, and other recovery needs.
