A Different Approach to Recovery
Research has shown that many who struggle with acute addiction require at least three to six months to establish new learning processes and thinking skills. Furthermore, depending on the severity and length of their addiction, many require more than just rehabilitation.
They also need habilitation, meaning the introduction to basic life skills necessary for daily functioning. This outcome is virtually impossible to achieve in one to three months, and very difficult even with a six-month program.
Our 12-month ministry provides not only time for the body and brain to begin to heal, but time to develop and apply new thinking and behavior patterns necessary for a successful sober life. Our focus and effort will be placed on life after treatment, which includes a well-paying job, safe housing, living in community, and a strong support system for long-term accountability. We want to restore men and families back to a meaningful life, free from addiction, and filled with new purpose.
There are four components that differentiate Restore Addiction Recovery from any other recovery program in Summit County.
How Our Approach is Different
Full continuum of connected care in one location
12 months of integrated services, practical life coaching, building healthy community, and providing mentorships — all under the loving care of licensed, Christian counselors.
The four core objectives are relationship restoration, development of vocational skills in real jobs leading to full-time employment, securing a safe place to live that fosters healthy community, and involvement in supportive aftercare for continued growth.
Collaborative Workforce Development Program
Partnering with local businesses to fill needed jobs while providing supervised, real-life training and work experience for the men in the ministry – all while substantially lowering operating costs. This allows Restore Addiction Recovery to be free for the residents.
Through the Workforce Development Program, the participants pay for a significant portion of their costs allowing Restore Addiction Recovery to operate at a fraction of the cost of other recovery programs. We also believe we have a model that can be replicated across the country, and our goal is to assist in the development of five more locations in five years.
We believe in the power of prayer. Our goal is to pair each man in our ministry with a volunteer who has committed to praying for specific prayer requests on a monthly basis. Will you consider joining our Prayer Partner Program?
There are several ways to partner with Restore Addiction Recovery and become active in supporting the solution to the substance abuse crisis. Contact us to discuss opportunities and current needs.
Although the men provide about 65% of the funds needed for the ministry through our working program, we depend on generous individuals, churches, and businesses to provide the rest. Your support will go directly towards the men in the ministry and help provide basic living needs, curriculum materials, and offset a portion of their stay.
